Shooting on Crotona Parkway leaves man critically injured

In the early morning hours of Thursday, July 4, 2024, a shooting occurred in front of 1962 Crotona Parkway, leaving a 37-year-old man with serious injuries. At approximately 1:20 a.m., an unknown assailant approached the victim and fired several shots, striking him once in the back. Emergency medical services responded quickly and transported the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital in critical condition.

The shooter was last seen fleeing the scene in a white Ford Edge SUV heading north on Crotona Parkway. The New York Police Department is currently actively investigating the incident and is seeking any information that may lead to the identification and arrest of the individual responsible for this act of violence. Anyone with information is asked to contact local authorities.

The New York City Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery that occurred in the Bronx at approximately 2:10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. The incident occurred in front of 419 East 167th Street, within the boundaries of the 42nd Precinct.

A 69-year-old male victim reported that he was approached by an unknown individual who forcibly took his cell phone and approximately $25 and then fled the scene on foot. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
