Teen killed in what HPD calls targeted shooting | Houston News

Police said the gunman fired several shots through a window and into a bedroom, hitting the teen multiple times.

HOUSTON — Houston police are searching for the man who shot and killed a 14-year-old boy in southeast Houston early this morning.

The shooting happened shortly after midnight at an apartment complex on Broadway Street, just north of Hobby Airport. We’re told the suspect left the scene before officers arrived.

Investigators believe the teen was targeted. They say the shooter fired multiple shots from outside the apartment, through a window and into a bedroom, hitting the teen multiple times. The teen was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
