Driver dies, one person injured in mini truck accident in Rolpa

KATHMANDU, July 10: One person was killed in a mini-truck accident in Rolpa.

According to the Rolpa District Police Office, the deceased was identified as mini-truck driver Mahesh Thapa, 32, of Nigalpani, Runtigadhi Rural Municipality-6.

According to police, the mini truck (Ra 1 Kha 2139) met with an accident on the inner stretch of road connecting Sawadanda to Dubaring via Holeri in Runtigadhi Rural Municipality-6 on Tuesday evening. Police said Thapa died at the scene of the accident.

Eight-year-old Sujan Rawat also sustained injuries in the accident. Police said he suffered head and back injuries. However, his condition is normal and he is currently undergoing treatment at the Primary Health Center in Holeri.
