Dixon man arrested for burglary and weapons possession

A Dixon man was arrested for burglary and several firearms offenses.

According to a press release, Dixon police received information on July 7 about a man on parole who was in possession of multiple firearms. Investigators investigated and identified 39-year-old Nicholas Davis as the suspect.

Investigators located Davis and took him into custody on outstanding warrants from Lee and Ogle County. Davis was charged with the following:

• Armed Habitual Offender – Class X Felony
• Burglary – Class 1 felony
• Unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon – Class 2 felony
• Unlawful possession of firearm ammunition by a felon – Class 2 felony
• Illegal possession of a firearm without FOID
