WWE Money in the Bank FALLOUT: Drew McIntyre suspended “indefinitely” after attacking RAW GM

Drew McIntyre is out of WWE for the foreseeable future after his freak-out following Money in the Bank in Toronto. During his rampage, he frantically searched for CM Punk and, in his enraged state, hit RAW General Manager Adam Pearce in the face with a well-placed, teeth-chattering elbow strike.

Wade Barrett, current announcer and former WWE Superstar, rushed to Pearce’s aid and helped remove McIntyre from the post-MITB set.

Just hours later, Pearce announced the punishment on social media – a fine for McIntyre and Punk for what happened in the ring… and a much harsher consequence for what McIntyre did afterward.

The elephant in the room – everyone saw what happened at Money in the Bank and afterward,” Pearce said. “After careful consideration, I hereby fine CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. In addition, I am officially suspending Drew McIntyre indefinitely for putting his elbow in my teeth.”

McIntyre was originally scheduled to appear on RAW this week, but that hasn’t happened unless the Scottish warrior ignores the ban and decides to defy the authority.

Most recently, it was Bron Breakker who got Pearce suspended because he was not allowed to participate in the 2024 King of the Ring tournament and emerged from the crowd at the next show to continue stacking bodies.

We’ll see if McIntyre follows the rookie’s example on Monday.

Chances are he will.
