Pulham Market newspaper boy attacked shop clerk in argument over round

Kyle Warner, 25, picked up a Plexiglas panel and threw it away during a heated argument on June 4, injuring a woman.

He also attacked another woman during the incident at Sam’s Local Shopper on the village square in Pulham Market.

Prosecutor Sarah Dawes told Norwich Magistrates Court that he had worked for the business as a newspaper delivery boy but had resigned due to a miscommunication which led to an argument.

Warner, of Fairstead Close, Pulham Market, pleaded guilty to assault by beating and simple assault.

He also admitted to attacking emergency services twice after the incident and resisting arrest, including throwing a dog bowl at police officers.

Deputy District Judge Jacqui Appleton ordered a response to an interim injunction before his sentencing on July 22.

She granted him bail on the condition that he not contact the two women or visit the newsagent’s in the centre of the village.

The court was informed that the public prosecutor would seek an injunction and compensation.
