Police officer injured, 43-year-old man arrested in domestic violence incident in Hales Corners

An officer is recovering in the hospital and a 43-year-old man was arrested following a domestic violence incident involving knives on July 6 near 110th Street and Copeland Avenue in Hales Corners, according to Hales Corners police. Police said they arrived around 11 a.m. Greendale and Franklin police also responded. When they arrived, they encountered a 43-year-old man with two knives. “Less lethal means” were used and the man was arrested with minor injuries. An officer was injured during the incident and taken to a hospital. It is unclear how the officer was injured. Police also did not say anything about another victim. The 43-year-old man was arrested for violating probation and additional criminal charges will be forwarded to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the next few days.
