Police find liquor bottle in car driving wrong way on I-71

CLEVELAND (WJW) – Cleveland police intercepted a wrong-way driver on I-71.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, officers with the Cleveland Division of Police stopped a motorist traveling northbound on I-71 in the southbound lane near the Clark Ave. bridge.


FOX 8 crews on scene saw officers removing a bottle of alcohol from the vehicle.

The police arrested the driver.

The driver was not identified.

On June 13, a driver traveling south on I-71 collided head-on with another vehicle, killing one of the occupants.
