18-year-old gang-raped and abandoned near her home in Gurugram: Police

An 18-year-old woman was allegedly raped by five men in Gurugram’s Sohna area after they abducted her from her house, police said on Thursday.

According to police, the incident occurred on the night of Wednesday to Thursday.

The woman was kidnapped from her house and then raped by the accused in turns. She eventually lost consciousness.

After committing the crime, the accused abandoned the girl at a place near her and threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about the matter.

On Thursday morning, residents informed the woman’s family when she was discovered lying on a street.

The woman later told her family about her ordeal, whereupon her father went to the police and filed a complaint.

Sohna police have registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC.

Inspector Jagjit Singh said the survivor suggested the name Imran as one of the accused.

“The suspects are still at large and will be arrested soon,” the police officer said.
