4 men charged with attack on Barraco’s Pizza employees

Four men are accused of a series of serious crimes after beating four employees at Barraco’s Pizza in Mount Greenwood early Sunday.

According to Chicago police and court documents, officers were called to Barraco’s at 3047 W. 111th Street around 1:35 a.m. for a report of a fight.

Four 20-year-old men are accused of beating four employees, ages 20, 28, 45 and 61. The 61-year-old man was struck in the head several times and knocked to the ground. He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was treated for a head injury, court documents say.

The four men were arrested near the restaurant shortly after the attack, authorities said. They were identified as Andrew Fedyk of La Grange Park, Harry Kenny of Glen Ellyn, Frank Paris of River Forest and John Powers IV of Oak Park.

They are accused of four counts of grievous bodily harm in a public place, one count each of grievous bodily harm causing serious injury and one count each of grievous bodily harm to a person aged 60 or over.

Paris is also charged with robbery for allegedly stealing a victim’s hat, and Powers is additionally charged with aggravated assault by strangulation.

During a detention hearing on Tuesday, all four defendants were ordered released from custody.

Her next court date is July 1.
