On Sunday, June 24, Electric Forest ended abruptly due to severe weather near the festival in Rothbury, Michigan. Before the annual music gathering ended early, The String Cheese Incident rounded out their setlist for Friday, June 21 with a few covers from the original archives of Post Malone and Paul McCartney (which have to do with movies). Also joining in was Dominic Lalli of Big Gigantic on the final set of songs excluding “Sirens.”

What’s particularly notable is that String Cheese Incident’s most talked-about moments with Electric Forest occurred mid-career, culminating with the release of 2018’s Malones. Spider-Man entry “Sunflower,” which also heralded the arrival of Lalli. Her guest stayed for the following arrival, the John Coltrane-penned “Impressions,” and the SCI original, “Let’s Go Outside.”
Instead of leaving Lalli on stage until the end, SCI took a moment to return to form and delivered a piece from 2003. The non-unleashing on “Sirens”. Without a break, SCI recorded their last number and merged with a cover of Paul McCartney’s epic “Live And Let Die”, where Lalli finally returned to face the jammers on the James Bond-made number.
