Death in Union triggers police investigation

According to the Courier-Gazette, a person was found dead in a Union resident’s home on Route 17 on Saturday.

Shortly before 9:20 a.m., Knox County police responded to 8 Heald Highway near the Hope city limits. By noon, seven patrol cars and the Maine State Police Evidence Recovery Team were on scene conducting an investigation, according to the Courier-Gazette.

Maine State Police spokeswoman Shannon Moss told the Courier-Gazette that the death was under investigation but there was no danger to the public.
