Four people rescued after boating accident on the James River

Henrico County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) – Two adults and two children were rescued Thursday evening after a boating accident on the James River.

On Thursday, June 20, shortly before 8 p.m., emergency crews from Chesterfield and Henrico were called to the scene of an accident on the river near Falling Creek. When emergency crews arrived, they found a boat aground on the Henrico side of the river. A drone was used to contact the boat’s occupants and ask if anyone was injured.

The four occupants were helped out of the boat and brought to safety. There were no reports of injuries. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
