Voluntary recall issued for Suntegrity Impeccable Skin Sunscreen Foundation – KIRO 7 News Seattle

On June 11, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that Suntegrity Skincare had begun voluntarily recalling some lots of Suntegrity Impeccable Skin Sunscreen Foundation because some tubes contained higher than acceptable levels of microbiological mold.

The recall was a precautionary measure because the samples tested were developed after the product was launched on the market.

Aspergillus Sydowii can cause an allergic skin reaction and related symptoms.

According to the FDA, a fungal infection of the skin can occur if the contaminated product comes into contact with open wounds; it can also cause an eye infection if it comes into contact with the eyes.

People with weakened immune systems should seek treatment if they become infected.
