In a recent BBC podcast Miss me?, 22-year-old American music sensation Billie Eilish spoke about her recent experience of being “ghosted.”

She described the incident as “crazy,” saying it involved people she had known for years who suddenly stopped communicating with her.

The word is widely used on the Internet and refers to the breaking off of a connection between two people without any specific reason.

“It was literally unbelievable”

The singer confessed: “I was definitely ghosted. It was literally unbelievable. To this day, (he) has never texted me again.”

“I thought: Did you die? Did you literally die?”

“It was someone I’d known for years and with whom I had a plan. We spoke on the phone that day and made a plan. That’s my address. Be there at 3 p.m. And I never heard from him again. Ever. I couldn’t believe it.”

The person started dating someone else.

Eilish, who became a global star at the age of 14 with her debut single Ocean Eyesadmitted that fame had led to the loss of her friends.

She discovered that except for her best friend Zoe, all of her other friends were employees.

The singer recalled a particularly painful incident when a staff member unexpectedly quit and stopped communicating. It was “the worst thing that ever happened to me.”

“And then I realized, ‘Oh, wait, this is a job.'”

Eilish finds comfort in reconnecting and making new friends

The woman expresses her vulnerability and Six Feet Under The singer added: “I am struggling terribly with the loss and I am having a lot of issues with abandonment.”

However, a year ago she “reconnected with many old friends” and now she has “so many friends.”

“I have a crew now! I could literally cry about it. It’s the greatest thing that has ever happened to me.”

Eilish’s emotional connection to Lily Allen’s song

Eilish named Lily Allen’s song as the author Smile for inspiring her to seek new friendships.

She confessed that the line “But with a little help from my friends / I finally found the light at the end of the tunnel” resonated deeply with her.

The singer admitted, “I used to want to cry when I heard that line because I didn’t feel that way, because I didn’t have any friends,” expressing her desire to experience such camaraderie.
