Driver fatally injured in dirt bike accident

Stamford Police responded to a motorcycle crash at 100 Bridge Street in Scalzi Park shortly after 11 p.m. Friday.

Oscar Chinchilla-Najarro of Stamford was riding a 2001 Kawasaki dirt bike when he lost control, drove onto the curb and struck the guardrail on the east side of the park.

He suffered fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Initial investigations revealed that the speed of the motorcycle may have played a role in this accident.
