Investigations underway after two missing men found dead in Claiborne County, Tennessee

CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) – A homicide investigation is underway after two men reported missing in Claiborne County were found dead Friday morning.

According to Claiborne County Sheriff Bobby Brooks, officials began searching for the men after they were reported missing on Wednesday.

Family members found the two men dead in the Rock Ridge area of ​​Clairfield Township around 2 a.m. Friday, where they reportedly had been fighting.

The bodies were taken to the Knox County Regional Forensic Center for an autopsy.

Brooks said the case is being investigated as a double homicide and the sheriff’s office is consulting with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
