One dead after fatal collision on Western Kentucky Parkway

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – On Tuesday, Kentucky State Police Post 4 was asked by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office to investigate a fatal two-vehicle crash on the Western Kentucky Parkway near the 116 mile marker.

The preliminary investigation revealed that 28-year-old Kelsey Dunn of Elkton was driving a 2011 Toyota Camry. She was traveling eastbound in heavy rain when she lost control of the vehicle before crossing the median and entering the path of a westbound semi-truck.

Dunn was pronounced dead at the scene by the Grayson County Coroner. The tractor-trailer driver, 28-year-old George Stup III of Belton, reported no injuries.

The affected section of the Western Kentucky Parkway was closed for several hours and a detour was put in place at mile marker 124 so KSP could investigate the accident.
