Police in Thornton are looking for witnesses to the fatal accident on May 4

Thornton Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed an accident that left a man dead on May 4 to come forward.

On May 4 at approximately 8:15 p.m., Thornton police responded to a report of an injured man lying in the street in the 8700 block of Washington Street. The man later succumbed to his injuries, according to a Thornton police crime alert released Tuesday.

Police are now looking for a witness on a motorcycle who asked other people to call 911 but did not stay at the scene of the accident.

Anyone with information about the witness or the accident should call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
