Man accused of shooting at car carrying 5-year-old girl in traffic accident in Shenango Township - WPXI

SHENANGO TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man is accused of shooting at a car carrying a 5-year-old girl during a road rage incident Friday.

Joseph Virella Acevedo, 40, is charged in the incident.

A woman told police that a white Kia was aggressively following her on Route 422.

Police found a shell casing that led them to Acevedo’s vehicle at his workplace in Adams Township.

The complaint alleges that the Kia stopped next to her at an intersection before Acevedo got out and fired a shot at her car, striking a rear wheel.

Acevedo was arrested Tuesday morning.

Acevedo reportedly told police the shooting was in self-defense.
