First warning: Heavy storms are possible on Saturday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The weather will remain calm through the end of the week, but Saturday evening has been declared a First Alert Weather Day as storms again move into the central state.

LATE WEEK

After a cool start this morning, highs will reach around 27 degrees in the afternoon and sunshine will persist throughout the day.

It will be cool again tonight and the lowest temperatures will fall to over 10 degrees by tomorrow morning.

The sun will continue to shine on Friday, with maximum temperatures rising slightly to below 27 degrees in the afternoon.

THIS WEEKEND

Unsettled weather is expected again this weekend with some showers and thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday.

There will be scattered rain on Saturday afternoon, so no need to cancel your outdoor plans, just keep an eye on the skies. Highs on Saturday afternoon will be between 27 and 30 degrees and it will be a wetter day.

A First weather warning day was announced for Saturday evening with the risk of one or two strong storms, mainly west of I-65. The main hazards right now are heavy rain and gusty winds with any storm.

There will be a few showers and rumbles of thunder on Sunday, but there is no serious threat. Like Saturday, there is no need to cancel your plans, but you can keep an eye on the skies in the afternoon. Highs on Sunday will be around 30 degrees.

NEXT WEEK

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday temperatures will remain at around 30 degrees, although there will still be a few isolated showers and thunderstorms until the beginning of next week.
