SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — A man was arrested Friday after he allegedly attacked customers at a South Windsor restaurant.

According to police, officers responded to a report of a man assaulting customers at the Buckland Grill at 465 Buckland Road. When officers arrived at the scene, the man, identified as 43-year-old Scott A. Forest, did not comply with commands and was forcibly handcuffed.

An investigation revealed that Forest had a confrontation with a customer after the customer’s children pushed another customer’s seat. Forest pushed one of the customers two or three times while attempting to attack the other customer.

Police said Forest also threw a large wooden sign on his way out of the restaurant, hitting two people.

Forest was arrested and charged with two counts of injury to a child, two counts of obstructing an officer/resisting and two counts of breach of peace.

He is scheduled to appear in court on May 20.
