White Creek man arrested on weapons charges

WHITE CREEK, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested a White Creek man after he was allegedly found with assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. Eric Roewer, 62, was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

The sheriff’s office reported that the arrest occurred May 1 after an investigation that said Roewer had these assault weapons. It is also alleged that Roewer was prohibited from owning firearms.

The suspect was arraigned in the Central Arraignment. He was subsequently released pending a future court appearance. Additional charges could be filed as the investigation continues.
