25-year-old arrested, accused of stabbing teenager

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — A 25-year-old man is in jail Friday, accused of stabbing a 17-year-old boy in a seemingly random attack.

Officers were called to the area of ​​8th and Railroad downtown around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

According to police, two people were walking when another person stabbed one of them.

The suspect fled, but officers found him a few blocks away.

The teen was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Louis Torres Cuandrado was arrested for aggravated assault, possession of a concealed weapon and cruelty or abuse of a minor because the victim was under 18 years old.
