Father and son arrested in Porterville for gun and drug possession, police say | YourCentralValley.com

PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A father and son were arrested during a parole check and officers found weapons and drugs in Porterville on Saturday, city police said.

Officers said they arrested 52-year-old Salvador Silva and his 18-year-old son, Miles Silva, after finding drugs and weapons in the apartment in the 100 block of South Atkins Street. The two were then taken to the Tulare County South County Detention Center.


According to officials, both were arrested on several charges, including:

  • Convicted felon in possession of firearms
  • Possession of an offensive weapon
  • Drug possession

According to police, Salvador Silva is being held on $100,000 bail. Miles is being held on $60,000 bail.
