Mass shooting in Dineen Park: What we know so far and what we don’t

A 17-year-old girl was killed and nine others injured in a mass shooting during a car party in Milwaukee’s Dineen Park. The investigation is ongoing, but no arrests have been made.

TERRIFYING SECURITY VIDEO, RIGHT? AND DEREK AND DEANNA, THAT’S THE PARKING LOT WHERE INVESTIGATORS SAYED TO MEET A GROUP OF TEENS FOR AN IMPROMPT CAR PARTY WHEN A BATTLE BROKE UP AND THE SHOOTING BEGAN. NOW, TONIGHT, WE HAVE THE NEW SECURITY VIDEO. WE HAVE ONE THAT SHOWS 45 SECONDS OF GUNS, ALMOST 45 SECONDS OF GUNS, SHATTERING THE SILENCE OF THE NIGHT. THE BULLET RIFLE IN DINEEN PARK EARLY MONDAY EVENING, CODY LOWE HEARD THE GUNS JUST BEFORE 12:30. THEY WERE IRRESISTIBLE, IRRESISTIBLE LOUD. I THOUGHT THERE WERE ONLY 1 OR 2. IT JUST KEEPS GOING. WE ALL DUCKED AND HID, CALLED THE POLICE. THEY CAME IMMEDIATELY. SPEEDING CARS, ENGINES STOPPING, SCREAMING THROUGH THE NEIGHBORHOOD. LOTS OF PEOPLE RUNNING UP AND DOWN THE STREET HERE, AND TWO CARS RUNNING UP AND DOWN THE STREET AND. FIRST RESPONDERS SAY THEY FOUND A 17-YEAR-OLD WOMAN DEAD IN THE PARK. EIGHT MORE TEENS SHOT THE YOUNGEST ONE, JUST 15. ANOTHER TEEN WAS HANGED. INVESTIGATORS SAY THERE WAS A SOCIAL MEDIA CAR PARTY WHEN THE SHOTS ARE FIRED. NEWS CHOPPER 12 SHOWS THE CRIME SCENE AND DOZENS OF EVIDENCE MARKERS IN AND AROUND THE PARK. THE SHOTS ALSO HIT TWO NEARBY HOUSES, SHATTERING WINDOWS AND DOORS. IT SEEMS A LITTLE DANGEROUS TO ME. MAYBE THEY SHOULD GET A FEW MORE SECURITY CAMERAS OR DECIDE TO MOVE THE VIDEO. ERICA. ABSOLUTELY CONVINCING. WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT THE SHOOTER(S)? THE MILWAUKEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS IT IS STILL LOOKING FOR WHOEVER WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE WHOLE 45 SECONDS, ALMOST TIMELY, OF SHOOTING. AND WE ASKED THEM TONIGHT FOR MORE INFORMATION AND AN UPDATE BUT THEY HAVE NOT GETTED BACK TO ME. WE KNOW THAT ONE OF THE SURVIVING VICTIMS OF THE SHOOTING IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION
