13-year-old boy shot dead overnight in Buffalo

The boy was first taken to Buffalo General Hospital, then transferred to Oishei Children’s Hospital and underwent surgery.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A 13-year-old boy was shot and killed overnight in Buffalo.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. Sunday when Central District officers responded to a call about shots fired, according to a Buffalo Police Department spokesperson.

The boy who was shot arrived at Buffalo General Hospital in a civilian vehicle and told police the incident happened near Main and High Streets. He was later transferred to Oishei Children’s Hospital and underwent surgery.

Police did not specify the boy’s condition in a statement Sunday afternoon about the shooting.
