Some afternoon showers will last into the weekend – Action News Jax

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Action News Jax’s First Alert Weather Team is expecting some rain this weekend.

Friday morning will be dry and humid with temperatures around 21 degrees. Later in the day, highs will be between 35 and 35 degrees inland and 35 and 35 degrees on the coast. Feels like temperatures will be between 38 and 40 degrees before rain and thunderstorms arrive.

A few showers and thunderstorms will develop west of Jacksonville before noon, spreading eastward during the afternoon. Showers or thunderstorms will continue late in the day toward and after early evening rush hour. The main threat will be heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds.

Heat and humidity will continue over the weekend, with the possibility of rain and thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon. Highs this weekend will be just over 35 degrees, with perceived temperatures reaching up to 40 degrees.

There are no problem areas in the tropics.
