Wall High School teacher abused student and told him to delete nude photos from his phone: Affidavit

According to an affidavit obtained by Daily Voice, Julie Rizzitello, 36, of Brick Township, had sexual contact with the student between April and June. she was arrested on Wednesday, July 3, and is charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault, third-degree witness tampering, and three counts of fourth-degree sexual abuse.

The affidavit states that a Wall Township Public Schools employee reported a possible inappropriate sexual relationship between Rizzitello and a female student to police on Monday, July 1. The student admitted to investigators that his “romantic” relationship with Rizzitello began in April.

The student also told police that he and Rizzitello had oral sex and sexual intercourse in his vehicle in Brick Township on Saturday, May 18. The two had additional sexual contact several times through Friday, June 14.

According to police, the sexual assaults occurred in Belmar, Brick and Wall Township.

“He also stated that Rizzitello sent him nude photos of himself after their first sexual intercourse,” the affidavit states.

When police searched the victim’s cellphone, they found sexual images and messages between the two. The affidavit also states that Rizzitello instructed the student to delete the evidence from his phone.

The student also said he told several friends about his relationship with Rizzitello. Witnesses who knew about the relationship confirmed details to investigators.

Rizzitello was also accused of sexual assault a second student in 2017. In that case, she was charged with second-degree sexual abuse and third-degree witness tampering.

Rizzitello submitted her letter of resignation earlier in the week before her arrest. She was charged in Monmouth and Ocean counties.

According to her teacher profile now deletedRizzitello was a ninth-grade English teacher and also taught SAT prep courses at Wall High School. She was also listed as an advisor for several groups, including the Class of 2026.

Rizzitello has been held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution since her arrest and was scheduled for a detention hearing on Tuesday, July 23.
