Mississippi man arrested 13 years after allegedly sexually abusing 8-year-old child – Magnolia State Live

A Mississippi man has been charged with sexual abuse of a child. The incidents occurred more than 13 years ago.

Frankie Charles Clanton, 55, of Tupelo, was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14.

Clanton was served with an arrest warrant from Lee County District Court related to a 2019 report in which a minor stated that he had been sexually abused by a person.

The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports that Clanton is accused of committing the crimes in late 2010 and early 2011 and that he allegedly had sex with a girl who was eight years old at the time of the assaults.

Clanton was 42 years old at the time of the alleged assaults.
