Hendersonville, TN man arrested for child rape and sexual battery

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man has been arrested following an investigation into allegations of child sexual abuse.

Hendersonville Police reportedly began their investigation on Wednesday, May 1st. The suspect in the case, 34-year-old Matthew Cody Ball, was taken into custody just a day later.

Authorities said Ball is charged with one count of rape of a child and three counts of aggravated sexual battery.

As of Thursday, May 9, Ball was still incarcerated in the Sumner County Jail on $200,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Sumner County General Sessions Court on May 15.
