Motorcyclist fatally injured in accident on Thursday afternoon

SAN JOSE – A motorcyclist was killed in an accident in San Jose on Thursday afternoon, police said.

The two-vehicle collision was reported shortly after 4 p.m. in the area of ​​Winfield Boulevard and Furlong Drive, San Jose police said in a social media post.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The death was the 24th traffic fatality on the city’s streets this year. During the same period last year, there were already 26 traffic fatalities in San Jose.

Traffic was disrupted on Winfield Boulevard between Blossom Hill and Coleman Road. The road was reopened around 9 p.m., police said.
