Police investigate incident in Vermont that left one man dead and several injured – NECN

Authorities are investigating a fatal incident that occurred early Sunday morning in St. Johnsbury, Vermont.

Vermont State Police said St. Johnsbury police responded to a report of an altercation at a home on Cottage Street at approximately 5:50 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found one man dead and several others with apparent injuries, authorities said.

The injured were taken to local hospitals; their condition is currently unknown.

The cause of death of the man found by police has not yet been determined, authorities said.

Police said this was an isolated incident and there was no danger to the public as all those involved knew each other and their identities were known.
