Fantasy Hockey Article: Jack Quinn’s Ultimate Potential

This offseason, the Buffalo Sabres rebuilt their No. 6 baseline forward, but left their top six forwards unchanged, with the exception of acquiring Jeff Skinner. That will put some pressure on their young forwards to be productive, especially winger Jack Quinn.

The 2020 eighth overall pick missed most of the 2023-24 season, starting with an offseason Achilles injury and then another lower-body surgery early in 2024. Despite the time lost, it’s worth examining what he’s done at the NHL level, his potential role under new head coach Lindy Ruff, and what it all tells us about his fantasy hockey potential.

In 104 career NHL games, Quinn has 24 goals and 34 assists, averaging 19 goals and 27 assists over 82 games. He did all that while skating 14:20 per game, so it’s a solid performance.
