Flagstaff man arrested after wife disappears, police say

Kelly Paduchowski’s vehicle was found Sunday at the Campbell Mesa Trailhead, police said.

FLAGSTAFF, Arizona – Flagstaff police said they have arrested the husband of a woman who has been missing since Sunday.

Kelly Paduchowski, 45, was last seen around 1:30 p.m. Sunday when she left her home to jog and swim, police said. Her family contacted police when they didn’t hear from her around 7:40 p.m. that same evening.

Paduchowski’s white Mazda CX-5 was found at the Campbell Mesa Trailhead, police said, but she is still missing.

The Flagstaff Police Department and the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office and Rescue have been searching for Paduchowski ever since.

After interviewing family members and witnesses and evaluating evidence during the investigation, Flagstaff officers arrested Kelly Paduchowski’s husband, 58-year-old Daniel Paduchowski, on a charge of aggravated assault, officials said.

“The investigation is ongoing and the top priority is to find Kelly,” Flagstaff police said in a statement.

Kelly Paduchowski was last seen wearing black shorts, a gray shirt, and white running shoes. She is described as 5’8″ tall, 130 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

If you have any information that may assist in the investigation, please call Flagstaff Police at 928-774-1414 or Silent Witness at 928-774-6111.
