Longtime employee found dead in chemical tank – WSOC TV

ELIZABETHTOWN, Kentucky – A man has died after being found in a chemical tank in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, on Tuesday.

According to WLKY, Elizabethtown police received a call around 4:30 p.m. Thursday that 59-year-old employee Franklin Logsdon was missing.

According to the news agency, Logsdon had been working for Metalsa and did not finish his shift on Tuesday.

When officers arrived, they found his tools and other personal items where he was last seen working, according to WAVE.

The factory was searched and the chemical tank was eventually emptied. According to the news channel, they found Logsdon inside. Officials say there was no crime and his death was a “tragic accident.” His death is still under investigation. It is not yet clear how he got into the chemical tank.
