Landowner denies access to nearby pond during Rosenberg warehouse fire

The area had no fire hydrants, so firefighters began shuttling water from a nearby fire hydrant.

HOUSTON (KIAH) – A three-story commercial warehouse in Rosenberg, Texas caught fire around 11:15 p.m. and quickly spread.

The fire was so intense that it forced the Rosenberg Fire Department (RFD) and other agencies from Fulshear, Fresno, Sugarland, Stafford, Rosharon and Brazoria Country to rush to the scene.

Unfortunately, the area did not have fire hydrants, so firefighters began shuttling water from a nearby fire hydrant. They also tried to use a nearby pond, but the landowner refused them.
