Tracking the tropics:

The tropics are calm. Nothing is planned to start the week. The area we were seeing in the Gulf of Mexico is now on land and will not become a tropical system. As for the rest of the Atlantic basin, we are witnessing showers and Saharan dust typical of Africa. Dust helps minimize tropical development.

Pulses of Saharan dust are entering the Atlantic basin this week.
10-day forecast:

Our 10-day forecast is as typical of a summer forecast as you’ll see. High temperatures are in the mid 90s, the weather is humid, and we have a chance of an afternoon sea breeze storm each day.
