Jacksonville reached 38 degrees today, which is a new record. It is also the hottest day of the year so far.

Thunderstorms with sea breezes have developed this afternoon. Activity around the Jax metro is easing, but there are still some storms inland.

Some places in Clay and St. Johns counties received more than an inch of rain today. But even here, some places didn’t see any rain.

Tomorrow will be just like today: very hot with a few thunderstorms in the afternoon. The weather will remain windy and there will be thunderstorms every day.

In the tropics, a low pressure system is moving ashore on the Gulf Coast of Mexico. It has no time to develop and probably won’t. This system will bring more rain to Mexico, but not to the United States.
