One dead after fatal crash in Greenville County, South Carolina, coroner says

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim following a fatal crash. On Friday around 5:30 p.m., the office was called to a crash in the area of ​​Taylor Road in Greer, South Carolina. According to the coroner, a sedan was speeding on Taylors Road when it left the road, traveled through a grassy and wooded area and came to a stop. When paramedics arrived, the passenger in the front seat was dead at the scene and was reportedly wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The coroner identified the passenger as 27-year-old Matthew Redding. An autopsy will be performed Saturday, the office said.
