Man posed as food delivery man during break-ins into OC houses: Police

Irvine police have arrested a Monrovia man who allegedly broke into private homes while posing as a food delivery driver.

IRVINE, Calif. (KABC) – Irvine police have arrested a Monrovia man who allegedly broke into private homes while posing as a food delivery driver.

Marcus Allen Corner, 37, was taken into custody Tuesday on suspicion of numerous home burglaries in Irvine, police said.

“He usually carried a bag of food with him, which made him look like a food delivery guy,” police said in a statement about the arrest.

Investigators are working with several other law enforcement agencies to determine if Corner is connected to additional crimes.

Irvine police said the department alerted the public to the suspect via social media last month when homes in the western part of the city were being burglarized.
