Buffalo police investigating Saturday morning shooting

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo police are investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday morning, according to a department spokesperson.

The incident reportedly occurred around 1 a.m. on Mapleridge Avenue.

Detectives say a 15-year-old Buffalo boy was shot while outside. No information was provided on the circumstances of the shooting.

Authorities said the teen was transported to ECMC by ambulance, which is only about a block away. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries, the spokesperson said.
