Victim of ‘serious’ battery incident at Wisconsin Resource Center in Oshkosh dies, murder charges filed against suspect

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – Oshkosh police are now filing manslaughter charges against a man after the victim of an incident involving “aggravated” assault died just weeks after the incident.

According to Oshkosh police, the 56-year-old victim of a Battery incident on May 21 died on June 10 at 9:10 p.m. According to authorities, the victim’s death was caused by injuries sustained in the battery incident.


Neither the victim nor the suspect were Wisconsin Resource Center employees, officials said. The incident reportedly occurred in the yard area.

The press release states that the 41-year-old suspect will be referred to the district attorney’s office for first-degree intentional homicide. The suspect’s identity was not disclosed.
