No charges will be filed against Murfreesboro teacher accused of sexually abusing a three-year-old girl

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – No charges will be filed against a Murfreesboro teacher accused of sexually abusing a 3-year-old girl.

Since October, the teacher has been involved in two state investigations into daycare centers in Murfreesboro.

The most recent incident occurred at Lionheart Children’s Academy.

WSVM4 spoke to a family member of the three-year-old girl who said the alleged assault was captured on video.

WSMV4 also revealed that the teacher had been involved in another investigation at the Learning Zone on John Rice Boulevard just months earlier.

Murfreesboro police said the investigation into Lionheart has been completed. They also said a Department of Child Protection investigative team, which includes representatives from child welfare, police, the district attorney’s office and the child protection center, has decided not to pursue criminal charges.

WSMV4 requested the police report and investigation, but because this involved alleged sexual abuse of a child, those records are confidential.

TDCS said an investigation was underway.
