Nearly a dozen charges against driver after police chase on Cape Cod over Sagamore Bridge – Boston 25 News

YARMOUTH, Mass. — A Stoughton man wanted on active warrants is facing nearly a dozen charges after leading police on a high-speed chase through Cape Cod and over the Sagamore Bridge Tuesday afternoon.

Sean Curran, 36, was taken into custody after his vehicle struck posted stop poles on Route 3 North, north of the Sagamore Bridge, Massachusetts State Police said.

Officials said just before 1 p.m. Tuesday, officers took the lead position in a chase initiated by Yarmouth police officers.

State police said Curran has three active warrants for his arrest and faces the following charges in connection with the pursuit:

Video of the chase shows Curran behind the wheel of a gray pickup truck fleeing from several patrol cars as it approaches the bridge, avoiding a set of stop bars that had been placed on the roadway by police. The video shows the soldier quickly pulling the sticks off the road as MSP cruisers fly by.

  • reckless operation of a motor vehicle
  • Driving a vehicle with a revoked/revoked license
  • Operating with suspended vehicle registration
  • Driving an uninsured vehicle
  • License plate violation
  • Speeding

  • Refusal to provide identification when driving a vehicle

No details on when Curran will stand trial.
