Traffic report: I-41 closed near Appleton due to accident

APPLETON – According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, I-41 is closed in both directions between Richmond St and Northland Ave due to an accident.

The accident occurred on Wednesday around 5:30 a.m.

Alternate Route: Take I-41 north at the WIS 96 exit. Go east on WIS 96 to WIS 47. Go north on WIS 47 back to I-41 north.

Scanner traffic indicates that a semi-trailer caught fire.
