Heavy storms are expected to occur overnight, some of them severe

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Widespread severe weather is expected overnight. Watch for the weather! Storms will reach southwestern Kentucky around 10 p.m., Nashville around midnight, and southern Middle Tennessee between 3 and 4 a.m. See below for a detailed forecast.

FIRST WEATHER WARNING DAY – TONIGHT:

Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms will continue to move southeastward through the Midstate overnight. All types of severe weather are possible – damaging winds, isolated tornadoes, hail and localized flooding.

Some storms that form overnight will be particularly severe, with wind gusts exceeding 110 km/h.

The storms will reach Nashville shortly after midnight. They will reach southern Middle Tennessee around 3 a.m.

DAY OF MEMORIAL:

Monday begins with showers and thunderstorms moving southeast.

It will remain dry in the afternoon. Maximum temperatures will be between 30 and 35 degrees. Isolated thunderstorms are possible again in the late afternoon and evening.

NEXT WEEK:

Much nicer weather is expected on Tuesday. The forecast is for predominantly sunny skies and maximum temperatures around 30 degrees.

Dry weather is also expected from Wednesday to Friday, with maximum temperatures between 27 and 30 degrees Celsius.

Next Saturday looks good. A mix of sun and clouds is expected. A shower cannot be ruled out, especially late in the day. Maximum temperatures will be around 30 degrees.
