Attacks on shop workers and sexual assaults are among the crimes in Bristol that the police need help solving

A woman was sexually assaulted, a shop worker was head-butted and a shopping centre was sprayed with graffiti. These are some of the incidents in Bristol that police need help solving. Numerous crimes are investigated every day across Bristol, but sometimes witnesses are hard to track down.

In many cases, police can find video footage of people in the area where the crime occurred. This means they can release the images to the public in the hope that the people can be identified if they have information that could help the investigation.

Avon and Somerset Police have recently released information and photographs relating to a number of reported crimes in the area. Some appeals have since been withdrawn after members of the public helped to identify them, but some remain on the police appeals list.

Woman sexually harassed after a night of drinking

A woman was sexually assaulted by a man between Lidl and Aldi supermarkets in Bristol. The attack happened as she was walking home after a night out with friends in the Gloucester Road area.

She was attacked on Muller Road between 11pm on Friday April 19 and 1am on Saturday April 20. She is not believed to have known her attacker.

The man was described as white, of slim build, with grey, white or blonde shoulder-length unkempt hair. She added that he was of average height, had no beard and was wearing dark trousers and a dark bomber jacket.

As part of their ongoing investigation into this assault, police officers have reviewed CCTV in the area. They have also visited properties in the area and enquired if anyone saw the man at the time of the sexual assault.

Detective Constable Molly Finch, a member of Avon and Somerset Police’s Operation Bluestone rape and sexual offences investigation team, said: “This is a traumatic crime and we are doing everything we can to ensure the victim gets the support she needs.”

“It can be upsetting for victims to learn details about their fate online or in the media. That’s why we wanted to advance our investigations first before launching a public appeal.

“Were you on Gloucester Road or Muller Road on Friday night when this attack took place? Or did you see anything that, on reflection and knowing that this attack took place, seems suspicious to you?”

“If so, or if the description of the perpetrator sounds familiar to you, please contact us as soon as possible.”

Police are now asking anyone who saw anything suspicious at the time, particularly between Lidl and Aldi, where the attack took place, to come forward. Anyone who knows who the man pictured is can call 101 and give the call handler the reference number. 5224100682.

Man abuses shop workers in Bristol before stealing alcohol

A man stole alcohol from a Bristol shop after attacking and sexually harassing staff. Avon and Somerset Police have released an image of a man they would like to identify in connection with their investigation.

According to police, the man forced his way into the Clare Street store at around 7am on Thursday, March 14, leaving one person scratched and another inappropriately touched.

He then left the shop with alcohol valued at around £80. He is described as being between 20 and 30 years old, around 5ft 9in tall, slim and white with a dark beard and black clothing.

Investigating police officers are now appealing for information. Witnesses or anyone with information should call 101 and quote the call operator reference number 5224065658 or complete their online complaint form.

“Drago” graffiti sprayed over Clifton Down Shopping Centre buildings

The word ‘Drago’ was sprayed on a property at Clifton Down Shopping Centre. Investigators from Avon and Somerset Police have released a CCTV image of a man they are trying to identify following the graffiti painting in Whiteladies Road.

The spray was reportedly sprayed sometime between 7:40pm and 8pm on Wednesday, March 13. Police are asking anyone who recognises the man pictured to come forward.

He is described as white, in his early to mid twenties with blonde hair. He was wearing a blue hooded top and grey tracksuit bottoms.

Burglars ransack a woman’s home and steal Batman print, bicycle wall clock, glass boat and 80 perfume bottles

A defenseless woman was the victim of a serious burglary in Bristol. The woman’s home in Easton was broken into and looted between 10:00 and 20:30 on Monday 20 May. Several particularly conspicuous items were stolen.

The items included a metal bicycle-shaped wall clock, a Batman and Robin print, and a glass boat about 12 inches long. A metal Jack Daniel’s sign was also stolen, as well as 80 perfume bottles and wooden boxes of costume jewelry.

The thieves also stole medicines, canned goods and laundry detergent from the property. A large red backpack was also stolen and officers believe this was used to steal the items.

After the theft, officers gave the victim safety instructions. The police are now asking anyone who sees the items to come forward.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: “If you have seen any of these items offered for sale in suspicious circumstances, or if you have any other information that could assist the investigation, we would like to hear from you.”

Two men arrested after police found stolen motorbike in Brislington

Two men have been arrested after police found an allegedly stolen motorbike in Brislington. The Yamaha Tracer 700cc motorbike was reportedly stolen on Saturday, May 18 and found on Whitmore Avenue on Tuesday, May 21.

Avon and Somerset Police were able to track down the motorcycle following several sightings by local residents. It was returned to its owner within half an hour of its discovery.

Officers arrested two people in nearby Capgrave Crescent on suspicion of receiving stolen goods. Two men, aged between 30 and 40, were released after police interviews and investigations are ongoing.

Avon and Somerset Police are keen to hear from anyone who was in the Wick Road area on Saturday and saw, or has dashcam or other footage showing, a suspicious person riding a motorbike or behaving suspiciously around a motorbike. Video surveillance released after Sainsbury’s store employee was headbutted

An appeal for CCTV has been launched after staff at a Bristol supermarket were shoved and head-butted while on the job. The reported attack occurred at Sainsbury’s in Avon Street, St Philips on Friday 22 March.

At around 6:45 p.m., a man was asked to leave the store. He pushed past a security guard and head-butted another employee. As he left the store, he threw a glass on the ground.

Avon and Somerset Police have released a CCTV image of a man which officers believe may assist them with their investigation. The man is described as white, in his 30s or 40s and with no facial hair. He was wearing a black tracksuit at the time.
