Update on shooting at Mount Trashmore Carnival: Girl shot, man injured in Virginia Beach

Witnesses report a shooting at Mount Trashmore Park in Virginia Beach that led to significant police activity in the area. However, these reports are unconfirmed as the police have not yet issued an official statement.

Some witnesses reported on Facebook that a girl was shot in the head during the summer carnival in the park.

“The little girl who was shot in the head at Mount Trashmore 757 is going crazy,” one person wrote on Facebook.

Another person wrote: “There are reports that a little girl was shot in the head at Mount Trashmore. It was at a carnival there.”

A third witness wrote: “I’m praying for the family that the child doesn’t come home from the Mount Trashmore carnival tonight, shakes my head. It’s so sad that the children and the woman had to see the girl like that, shakes my head.”

Another witness wrote: “Shots were fired at the Mount Trashmore Carnival. The entire Virginia Beach Police Department is there. I hope everyone is OK.”

Videos from the scene show a massive police presence at the site of the alleged shooting.
