Murder investigation launched after 27-year-old shot dead in Belmont

(KRON) — Belmont police are currently investigating a homicide that occurred Friday night. Police arrived at the scene after shots were fired and found a 27-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

The shooting occurred around 8 p.m. in the area of ​​Hiller and Irwin streets in Belmont, police said. After the victim was shot, BPD officers, San Mateo Consolidated Fire Department paramedics and AMR immediately performed life-saving measures on him.


Despite the measures taken, the victim succumbed to his injuries.
